GENERAL: Preassembled shelter shall be Model 145BS as manufactured by Par-Kut International, Inc., Harrison Twp., Michigan. Unit to be furnished complete and ready for use at site and shall include the following:
STRUCTURE: Unit shall be all welded galvanized steel construction with 14 gauge steel panels and tubing on the exterior and 18 gauge interior panels and trim. Unit to be shipped completely assembled. All welded joints ground smooth. Inside ceiling height 7′-6″.
BASE AND FLOOR: Base height shall be 4″. Floor shall be 12 gauge galvanized steel, diamond plate. Four anchor clips provided to secure shelter. Anchor bolts and required installation by others. Unit may be recessed into concrete island for flush threshold height to meet handicap requirements.
PAINT: All exposed metal surfaces except roof top, anodized aluminum window frames and any stainless steel components (if used) shall be painted one color using Axalta® Imron™ high gloss industrial polyurethane. Owner will select a single color from Par-Kut standard colors.
LIGHTING: LED light fixture(s) mounted on ceiling, twin lamp, zero degree ballast with vandal resistant lens. Lights controlled by roof mounted photo eye or tamper resistant switch. Solar powered lights optional.
WIRING: All wiring copper No. 12 minimum, enclosed in EMT, rigid, Flex or as MC cable to 100amp capacity rain tight lockable circuit breaker panel. Fittings, wiring devices and fixtures UL listed. Ready for site connection by others. Provided three wire 120 volt single phase service. Wiring meets or exceeds minimum provisions of National Electric Code. All fittings, wiring devices and fixtures UL listed.
HEAT: Factory installed electric ceiling heater(s) shall be 120 volt, 5120 BTU, fan forced type, with tamper resistant thermostat. Two heaters thus.
DOORS: shall be top-suspended heavy duty sliding steel, fully weather-stripped. Include Adams Rite® #1850 hook bolt type lock, view window and all roller assembly hardware. Trolleys shall be ball bearing, adjustable pendant type.
WINDOWS: Shall be clear anodized aluminum construction and include glass. Windows to be fixed, and glazed from 12″ above finish floor to ceiling with center horizontal safety mullion. Optional finish: painted to match shelter color.
GLAZING: Door(s) and windows shall contain clear tempered safety glass 1/4″ min. thickness. Optional glazing: tinted glass or unbreakable polycarbonate.
BENCH SEAT: Optional hardwood, recycled plastic or aluminum bench seat and seat back bolted in place to rear wall of shelter.
INSULATION: Heated units shall have a minimum of 2″ rigid fiberglass in insulated wall panels. Roof structure fully insulated.
CANOPY/ROOF: Shall be 14 gauge galvanized steel. Extension beyond side walls shall be 3″. Fascia height to be 12″ to accommodate customer graphics, or factory applied lettering. Roof pitched for drainage and has downspout. Lifting ring(s) or strap provided on roof, allows for lifting/relocation by crane.
DESIGN LOADS: Par-Kut shelters meet or exceed the following design loads: 50PSF live load, 30PSF wind load.
DESIGN NOTE: First digits of model number are the length, the last digit is the width of the unit. For instance, Model 145BS measures 14′ long by 5′ wide.
